Asha The Paper Crusher

Asha is 5+ month old now. She had new toy. It's paper. How she loves to twist and crush the paper with her tiny hands. And she loves the sound when she crushes the paper. I just sit her on the bed, give her the paper, and she was busy playing with her new toy :D

My baby girl sits on pillow and busy playing with her paper

Haha.. :D

This time Asha practises to grip and crush paper. Next, she'll learn how to grip and crush food. Hehe..

One favorite thing i do with twitter is searching good food, because i do love food and eager to try something new. Then last week i found this delicioso durian pancake, you can go follow their twitter @DurianPancakeD for further info. I just couldn't stand sitting there and looking at the drooled inducer photo like this,

Who can resist not to buy this? Not me!

So i told my friends whether they wanted to join me order this pancake, because it has minimum order. They'll deliver it to you if you bought 6 pancakes. It costs IDR 10.000 for original durian pancake, tiramisu pancake, and chocomelt pancake. It costs IDR 12.000 for durian strawberry, durian blueberry, and durian choco pancake.

We ordered different flavours so we could taste each others pancakes. I bought durian blueberry and tiramisu pancake. It tastes deliciooosooo! I'm not lying. I shared my pancake to other friends who didn't know i ordered this pancake, and they all agreed that these pancakes taste yummy. They even asked me to order for them.

Asha And Nay

Last weekend Asha visited her niece, her name is Nayla, we called her Nay. She is 7 months old, 2 months older than Asha. Nay is a big baby girl, when i put Asha next to her, Asha looked tiny. All this time me and hubby always thought that Asha is big already, but we're wrong, she's still our little baby girl (and will always be) Hehe.. :D

We laid Asha and Nay side to side on the bed, while i chatted with my niece. We didn't notice at first that the babies were trying to reach each other. The babies were curious to each other, they were staring and tried to reach each other hands. When suddenly they were holding hands and didn't let go. When Nay lost her hold, Asha tried to reach back. And they were holding hands again. Aww..too sweet.. :D

Lucky that i could capture the moment,

Asha 5+m and Nay 7+m : let's holding hand,sis :)

I want to share a little story about Nay. She lives with her grandma, grandpa, and aunty that comes 4 days a week. Her mom, dad, and her 3 years old brother live in other town, because the parent work there. Nay drinks formulated milk since born. Her mom and brother visit her once in two weeks, while her dad visits her once in a month. I feel sorry to know that Nay is closer and more comfortable to her grandparent rather to her parent. Nay cries whenever she meets new people. She feels uncomfortable with new people around her, it takes sometime for her to get used to with new people. When i hold her, she sobbed. Ohh poor little girl. She doesn't used to meet alot of people, because everyday she only meets her grandma, grandpa, and her aunt sometime. Thankfully the grandparent love Nay so much and give the best they could to nurture her. Nay looks happy and healthy under grandparent supervision. The situation forces Nay to live separately from her parent. I pray the best for her and the family, hope that they can reunited soon.

I feel lucky that i can see and kiss and hug and hold and breastfeed Asha everyday, although i have to leave her 6-7. I hope i able to be with her 24-7, together with hubby too. Soon.

Put Back My Wedding Ring

When i was pregnant, i gained almost 17 kg. My body was so big and every pieces of my body were swollen, include my fingers. That's why at the third trimester of my pregnancy, i had to remove my wedding ring since it no longer fit in my finger T__T

The time when he put the ring on me, April 23rd 2011 :)

It was yesterday when i opened my jewelry box and casually tried to put the wedding ring back on my finger, Taraaa..it's fit now! :D

I'm so happy that now i able to wear my wedding ring again. I hope i don't need to remove it for the second time. *Sigghh...

Baby Led Weaning

I'm so nervous preparing Asha's first meal / MPASI (makanan pendamping ASI). I'm not sure whether i able to cook baby food, something like puree, mush, porridge, and other soft baby food. I downloaded baby food recipes from here and printed it, i made my own baby food recipes book. I seek online baby shop to find baby cultery, something like bowl, plate, spoon, fork, training cup, food processor, even cooker. Those preparation thingy makes me nervous already.

Thanks God, i found article about Baby Led Weaning here. The most important thing from BLW method is Food Is Fun Until One. It means before one year old, breastmilk or baby formulated milk is still the main nutricion source for baby, while food is the side dish. Before one year old, we just let the babies explore their motor skill to reach, to grab, to sip, to bite, to taste and to swallow food on their interest, no need to be forced.

Baby Led Weaning, quite simply, means letting your child feed themselves from the very start of weaning. According to the most recent research most babies reach for food at around six months. You just hand them the food in a suitably-sized piece and if they like it they eat it and if they don’t they won’t. The distinct advantage of weaning at around six months is that by then, our children are developmentally capable of feeding themselves proper food, in other words – no more mush!

I'm so glad that i knew this BLW method three weeks before Asha's first meal. I'm so relieve that preparing food for Asha is as simple as serve slice veggies and fruits for her :) So bye bye puree, mush, and porridge!

There are so many advantages of BLW methode compare to conventional weaning method, for example :
- Babies capable to feed themselves in early stage
- Train baby's motor skills
- Babies explore various tastes of food in its original form and shape so that it will,
- Reduce chance of picky eater babies
- And it helps momy to serve baby food more easily, just chop chop and serve :D

Wohoooo... Now i can't wait to start Asha's first meal. I'm so excited to see how she will react to veggies and fruits i served in front of her. Will she grab it and put it in her mouth? Or will she grab it and smash it into pieces? Oh, i'm so thrilled! :D

eat would be so much fun and total mess!!  XD

I have to be more patience waiting for this. Three more weeks before the meal timeee :D

Asha's High Chair

High chair is one of my  baby's gadget wishlist. Asha already had travellite / portable baby box, bouncer, and playmate that i bought while i was pregnant. That time i wanted to buy high chair and baby car seat too, but then i looked into my pocket and tried to forget it. Haha.. :D

Luckily i have besties that seemed to know what i want. They gave high chair as a present for Asha. I was so happy! Thank youuu PharmaChix!! :D

It's been a while that i left the high chair inside the box. Because Asha hasn't been able to sit yet. But last week i took the high chair and asked hubby to help me arranged it. It was quite easy to set, we didn't  even read the manual book. And voila, this is what Asha's high chair look like,

I forgot to put the tray on it -__-

I haven't checked its features (i even forget the brand), but in a glance the features are :
- easy to fold, light enough, and not too bulky
- the seat is thick and soft because it has somekind of foam inside and wrapped by waterproof outer
- has buckle to prevent baby slip down from the chair
- the tray is wide and easy to remove
- has footrest so the baby's feet won't hang in the air

Overall, i love Asha's high chair. Hope she'll love it too :)

But, one high chair still not enough for me. *for Asha and her dad i guess it's more than enough. Hee.. :D
So i bought this portable high chair that can be fold and fit enought to put in my bag. This {Keitaro's) portable high chair i bought from Picobella IStore,

This is how the portable high chair look like

This one is the high chair i bought for Asha

The reason why i bought another portable high chair because the high chair is not always available at the restaurant. And it's imposible for me to bring Asha's green high chair whenever we eat at restaurant. My purpose is to get Asha used to eat in  chair whether at house or outside the house. Remember how our parents used to carry baby and go outside for sight seeing whenever it's meal time? And still the baby more excited to play or see the sight seeing instead to eat. I don't want to do the same thing with Asha. Meal time will mean sitting nicely at her chair and finish her meal.

So i guess portable high chair is another longterm investment :)

By the way i bought another stuffs at Picobella IStore, since they have wide range of handmade products for baby and mommy, i couldn't stand just bought high chair for Asha. So i bought the key holder wallet like this,

I bought 3 key holders, one for me, two for farewell gifts

Next month will be the first time Asha eats her first meal. I hope Asha will enjoy her meal by sitting nicely in her new high chair :)

Working Mom Or Stay At Home Mom?

I've been thinking about it lately since i'm not sure which one i really want to be, being a working mom or stay at home mom. If only i could choose my own way, then i'll choose to be a happy working mom who loves her job and have much time to spend with her baby and husband without feeling exhausted and depressed every night.

I'm not saying that i don't like my current job, i just feel uncomfortable with it anymore.

Certainly my job can pay me enough money to fulfil my shopping desire, so i can dressed up Asha with cute and pretty dresses. But money is not the reason for me to be a working mom.

What i really want now is having a peaceful life, surround by the people i love, Asha and husband. Having much time to spend with them and able to do thing i'm passionate about.

So today i submited my resign letter. It was hard for me to hand the letter to my supervise and explained the reason to her. But she understood me very well and let me do what's best for me. Thank you, Thank Lord.

Next month will be my last month in this office. I'm going to miss everyone here. But i have to move on and live my life as a mother and wife. This time, being a stay at home mom who takes care of her own baby, husband, and home, is what's best for me and our little family.

Dear Lord, please take care of our family and give us stregth to live our own life. I believe that this is the beginning of something better ahead :)

Ashandul

Asha is 5 months today. She babbles alot, screams alot, smiles and laughs alot, eating her fingers, grabbing toys, lifting her neck, and doing other thing that makes me amaze. She is my sunshine that brights my day. Now she even more shiny than before because of her bald head :D

Actually she had her hair shaved couple weeks ago when i took her to hospital. It cost IDR 65.000 to shaved her almost bald head into the real bald head!

My husband could have 6,5 times hair cut at barber shop with IDR 65.000. My oh my.. But at least the hospital used electric razor only to shave baby's hair. If i took Asha to barber shop, it would cost IDR 7.000 but they used the same  razor to shave old men's hair and other men's beard. Oh nooooo!!!!  >__<

This is Asha with her new hair(less),

My beautiful Ashandul :)

Be kind, be beautiful as always my lovely baby girl. Mommy and daddy always love you.

Lucky Go Sale!

It's been a while since the last time i posted on my blog. Too much to do at work and busy like bee during weekend. Lately we spent most of our weekend hunting sale stuffs on Ace Hardware and Informa Furnishing because they were on sale. My favorite word, sale! :D

First, it was Ace that on sale up to 70% off. We bought bathroom mirror and pack of light bulbs on sale price. Yeayy.. I've been looking for bathroom mirror that large enough, clean cut, in affordable price. Luckily i found it on Ace bazaar :)

Ace Hardware Bazzar where i found my dream bath mirror on sale

The following week, it was Informa that on sale. We really enjoyed our time at Informa. Even Asha had a good time too :) We tried cozy sofa, couch, and bed. How comfort!

We bought red sofa bed and single size bed with extra mattress. We're going to put the red sofa bed on the living room. It's comfortable, spacy, and bright. The single size bed made from iron, i picked the white colour because it looks cute in Asha's room. Lucky for us that we got mattress for free. Asha loves her new bed. As i put her on the bed, she enjoyed rolling herself on the bed. Hehe..  :)

Then we looked for some home accesories and bought wallpaper and present for my friend's baby. Here's the present i bought for the baby boy,

The blue puppy babymate is so soft and fluffy.
The giraffe height measurer with photo frame is so bright and cute

So it had been a busy fun weekend for me, hubby, and Asha on Ace and Informa. Can't get enough looking around and hunting furniture at Informa :)
